COVID-19 Information for Current CMSD Students & Families

Say Yes Cleveland is supporting the Cleveland Metropolitan School District as they assist students, families and staff during this difficult time. Below you'll find information for parents and families of current CMSD students:

Following news that Governor DeWine ordered a three-week shutdown of Ohio schools, CMSD immediately implemented a plan to continue meal service to all students, similar to the service we provide during summer months.  Meals will be available to all children i the City of Cleveland 18 years of age and younger, from 11:30AM to 1:00PM, Monday, March 16 through Friday, April 3.

Click here for a full list of the 22 sites where children 18 and younger can pick up a bagged lunch for the day and a breakfast to take home for the next day.

CMSD will provide yellow bus shuttles to each site with times and locations listed on the back. RTA will continue to honor student bus passes for meal pickups.

Learning Resources

CMSD’s Academics Office created Spring Break Learning Packets for scholars in Grades K – 12. The learning packets can be accessed online here, and printed copies of the Reading and Math activities are available at each of the 22 Meal sites. We encourage scholars to complete an ELA and Math activity each day.

Scholastic Learn at Homes: Through the Scholastic Learn at Home website, students will have access to approximately three hours of learning opportunities per day, including projects based on exciting articles and stories, virtual field trips, reading and geography challenges, and more. These learning journeys are being carefully curated by our editors to reduce the burden on families needing to ensure meaningful learning takes place.

The site includes daily lessons across four different grade spans—PreK/K, Grades 1–2, Grades 3–5, and Grades 6–9+. Learning experiences will cover ELA, STEM, Science, Social Studies, and Social-Emotional Learning. The Scholastic Learn at Home website is available free to all.
